You have to be a whore. By this I mean a myspace whore. This is people who get lots of friends on myspace. Friendstorm.net can get you over 500 friends a day but I have only got like 400 a day max. It takes time but you press a button and it gives you 3 popups to peoples ,add me, part of the profile every time you click it. This makes it fast. You dont have to give them your password either.

DOES ANYONE OUT THERE KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT MARKETING EFFECTIVELY ON A SHOE STRING BUDGET?

I started a t-shirt design submission brand (a la THREADLESS but different). I have been in business for almost two years and have not sold even ONE t-shirt!! I know the economy is supposed to be bad and all but this is ridiculous! I have tried everything (social networking sites, t-shirts blogs, giving away free promotional t-shirts, et cetera) and no one seems to be responding. I’m starting to think that maybe my products just suck and people simply don’t like them (LOL!). Is there anyone out there with any effective marketing tips that they can help me out with? I’m desperate and will try just about anything at this point.

Call or visit five potential customers each day and ask them to register for your upcoming beauty news newsletter or entry into a contest for a $50 Amex gift card. That will give you up to 100 email addresses per month (1200 per year). Your mission needs to be getting sales not getting clicks on your website so make sure you have the right products at the right price at the right time. Offer samples. Let the products sell themselves. Ask if you can set up a folding table in their stores for 4 hours on one day to give samples and demonstrate your products to their customers. Create buzz. There’s alot of competition in the industry. Get to know the buyers personally through frequent contact without stalking. When you see an article of interest make a copy and mail it with a little post it note saying, “thought you’d appreciate this” and sign your name and phone # or attach a business card. You may want to write an article of your own and make it look published. Relate it back to your company. Write about a new product or some kind of press release. Have you taken on any new clients worth bragging about??? Follow up with buyers… A no today could be a yes in 3 months. Get some postcards printed (vistaprint) and mail out quarterly. Your marketing efforts are tax deductible. Take a buyer to lunch once in awhile and ask about their business, trends, fears, joys, etc. Partner with comparable businesses to share leads. I am brand new starting out in a binary-based network marketing system. The products and services are great, however, I’m still trying to think of the best way to market and try to get people signed up. I don’t want to call up family members I haven’t talked to in forever, just don’t think that would go very well.

It’s not the rejection I’m afraid of, I’m not sure what I’m afraid of. I want to make money with this and keep people I sign up happy, but am not sure if I should cold call, hire a sales person or coach, or what.

Anyone else go through this phase in network marketing and can offer any answers?

As much as it is one of the most important things in any network marketing business, it is not an easy thing to do. The constant phone calls, cold calling that is, hanging out in malls and parking lots. I did try that out…for about a week, then made a point to find a better way of doing the entire thing.

Network marketing success? How the heck do you reach that?

Especially network marketing success online. It seems that everybody and his “brother” is on the rampage to get network marketing success on the internet. Everywhere I look there is another blog springing up and aspiring to be the next super network marketing Guru. With the latest “network marketing tips”. Is there a lot of competition? Sure. Are there enough prospects for everyone. Sure. The crucial factor to your network marketing success though, is to be creative and think out of the box!

Yeah sure, for network marketing success, you have to do what is already working, duplication. Does that mean that we all have to do the same thing and end up like a bunch of drones in a bee hive, all acting doing and thinking in the same way? This business is about freedom, and I see a lot of people jumping from one fish bowl to another, never truly getting to the ocean, and never reaching network marketing success.

Duplication of method is important, no doubt, but the crucial factor that will give you network marketing success, will be how you can make those techniques your own. Network marketing success and especially the principals of attraction marketing, will come once you are comfortable with your own methods, or should I rather say, duplicating the methods in your own way.

It saddens me to go to my Facebook account, just to see a whole bunch of drones that are looking, saying and doing the same things.

If I were out there, looking for network marketing success, I would look for the most interesting and charismatic person to show me the ropes.

It seems that the same people are chasing the same people around and around, everybody trying to convert everybody, everybody after that elusive network marketing success. No way man! How about going out and getting some fresh prospects. Like maybe targeting some lucrative keywords, that new blood will be searching for. Expand.

I know that Google has placed a whole lot more emphasis on the social aspect. Still, more than 60% of my traffic comes from the organic search results, and let me tell you it is much easier to close a fresh prospect, than it is someone that has been surfing Facebook for information, and been bombarded by everyone in the network marketing business.

The search engines will always be there, and, in traditional internet marketing, where most of my skills were learnt, the search engines will always be king.

“Yes , but Bill, it’s so difficult to rank in the search engines.”

Actually, your network marketing success, is totally dependent on traffic. The more traffic you have the better you will do. The better you rank in the search engines, the more fresh traffic you will have. It’s simple.
